Program note

  • At the time I've discovered the violin as a "wooden thing" I felt happier and unhappier at the same time. (As some years before.) Suddenly I could decide to caress the violin, to tap it, to saw it through or to kiss it. Even I could to play it ...

  • With the increasing number of the performances of a work - the possibility that someone comprehends at least something of what this work meant once to the author (if we are interested in that at all) - also slighthly increases. So I present various performances at the same time.

  • The composition is originally called "Quintette pour orchestre" because this quintet for the orchestra was written in Paris.
