The title articulates the manner in which I worked with the fifth in this composition.

How did you work with the perfect fifth (Eb-Bb) in your composition?
I was filling it in with tones on the inside and enfolding it with tones on the outside.

What is your opinion of the perfect fifth and its place in music?
To me it is synonymous with indecisiveness. It is a shape, waiting to be filled with content which gives it drama. When not filled in, it is at maximum a static harmony.
